Granite is a very easy material to maintain. It’s extremely durable and long lasting, but it does need a little TLC. To keep your granite in tip-top condition, just follow these simple tips:
Tip 1: Clean the countertop regularly with a soft white cloth and neutral cleaner. In the event streaking occurs, it may be necessary to buff the countertop with a clean white terry cloth towel.
Tip 2: Occasionally apply a good stone polish to the surface of the countertop to prevent staining.
Tip 3: All granite countertops should be sealed. We seal the countertops immediately prior to installation. Our sealer will resist oil and other staining materials. We recommend reapplying the sealer once per year.
Tip 4: Immediately blot all spills with a clean paper towel to prevent staining. In the unlikely event that a stain soaks into the granite, and acetone cleaner may need to be applied.
